There are many reasons to stop by the Geothermal Exhibition and learn about sustainable energy, the operation of the power plant, and related activities. Guests can enjoy beautiful landscapes on their visit, grab a cup of coffee, and chat with our knowledgeable educators. Take a moment to relax in Agndofa, a multi-sensory experience space that stimulates the senses, inspired by the nature of the Hengill Area. Our souvenir shop has a good selection of local products and Icelandic design. Refill your water bottle, charge your car, or stop by along the way to explore diverse hiking trails in the Hengill Area.

An ON Power Rapid Charging Station is locaed In front of the Geothermal Exhibition. Our souvenir shop has a good selection of locally-made products as well as a selection of Icelandic design
Whether you are going for a hike in the Hengill Area or going to visit the exhibition, it is perfect to stop by for coffee during our opening hours. Our small café serves coffee, tea, and cold drinks.
We have extensive experience with organizing various meetings, events, and receptions. Host a memorable event in an inspiring location.
We can set up an event with local catering, a talk on green energy production and innovation in the area, a reception, meetings or workshops. We tailor the event to your needs. Contact us at syning@on.is for requests and bookings of meetings and special events.
The Geothermal Exhibition offers guided tours for groups (10 people or more). We also arrange school visits. Please contact us before your visit if your group has special request regarding points of emphasis or theme.

We offer a variety of options for your group:
VARMI: Guided tour of the Geothermal Exhibit for 20-30 minutes with one of our educators. Topics include the geology of Iceland, utilization of geothermal energyn for energy production, carbon capture with a presentation of the Carpfix method, the operations of the Geothermal Park, and other information about activites in the area. After the tour, guests can walk freely around the exhibition.
CARBFIX: Guided tour of the Geothermal Exhibit for 60-90 minutes, with a visit to one of Carbfix's injection wells at the end, along with one of our educators. The guided tour is longer and more extensive. Guests must watch a safety video before visiting the well. All appropriate safety equipment is on site, but guests must wear closed shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. After the tour, guests can walk freely around the exhibition. NOTE: the age limit for visiting the injection well is 16 years.
School visits:
ORKA: Guided tour of the Geothermal Exhibit for 20-30 minutes with one of our educators, adapted to the students. The tour can be adjusted to the age, background and interests of the group, please include such requests in your booking. Topics include the geology of Iceland, utilization of geothermal energyn for energy production, carbon capture with a presentation of the Carpfix method, the operations of the Geothermal Park, and other information about activites in the area. After the tour, the students are shown and educational video and can chat with the educator. The students can walk freely around the exhibition.
